Kamen Rider captived little children's minds starting as way back as 1971. The spirit is continued in 2005 with Kamen Rider Hibiki, broadcating now, after endless successions of Kamen Rider Ichigo and Nigo.
Kamen Rider "The First" constructsd late Shotoro's Ishinomori's original manga form of the hero, and transfering the comic to film, the story is made. Producer Shinichiro Shirkara, was quoted to say he wanted Ichigo and Nigo not simply a remake, but a breath of new life into timless characters. This was signifigant due to the legacy of the series.
Takeshi Hongo is abducted by a scientist working for Shocker, and is remade into a grasshopper cyborg (Ichigo). Takeshi is determined to maintain his bravery and fight, and is a hero of encouraging good and punishing the evil that struggles jointly to Hayato (Nigo) who is sent as a new assassin. Additionally, the story is very focused on personal drama, like man to man conflicts. The riders' designs are taken directly from the original's with changes in armor style and shades of color.
As the picture is already filmed, Hikada recieved a message from Hiroshi Fujioka (the original Ichigo). He says that Hikada was right in the ballpark with a character, and is looking foward to the 05 version of Takeshi Hongo. He has seen Hikada portary the justice, love, courage, and yearing of the character. He sent his confidence. The actor who played the original Nigo, also said that the new actor hit the mark, which is sending good vibes throughout the cast. Kamen Rider "The First" opens in theatres this November.
