Heute morgen habe ich in einer stillen Minute den Redaktionsschluss für die kommende PRANKE-Ausgabe #26 festgelegt. Dieser ist am

11. Juli 2004 um 20:00 Uhr.

Also von heute an gesehen noch mindestens sechs Wochen Zeit.

Oh,oh, dann muss ich mich aber sputen. Das Interview & die 2 Reviews  :-/

Mein Artikel für die "Monströse Literatur" wir noch heute fertig werden und vermutlich im laufe der nächsten Woche an Ralf gesandt.
Da die Enzyklopädien ja ein gutes Echo hatten (die NuImage Flyer und der Bericht interessierte scheinbar niemanden), gibt es hier vorab schon einige Informationen.
Es wird dies der letzte Teil der Lexika. Zwar gäbe es noch genug andere, aber drei Teile sollten vorerst reichen. Da ich Lexika sehr hoch bewerte, werden in zukünftigen Artikeln immer wieder Nachschlagewerke eingebaut.
Der Abschluss wird vermutlich der umfangreichste Teil. Ich hoffe das freut El Brazo. Für Monster werden etliche McFarland Bücher besprochen.
Folgende Schwerpunkte finden sich im Artikel:

Horror allgemein, englische Horrorfilme, Horrorfilme weltweit, Monstermagazine, die schlechtesten Filme, 50er bzw. 1950er Jahre Alien Invasion und Ufos, echte Mörder im Film und Zombies.

Na, jetzt nicht gleich die Segel einfahren. Da kommt bestimmt noch ein entsprechendes Resümee. Bedenke bitte, dass die PRANKEn jetzt gerade mal knappe zwei Wochen im Umlauf sind. Bislang wurde sich halt noch etwas umfangreicher zu den anderen Rubriken befasst.
Es mag zwar sein, dass die Reaktionen auf Berichte in DOOM und anderen Magazinen vielzähliger waren, aber diese erschienen ja meist auch in weitaus grösseren Auflagen.
Worüber wir uns in nächster Zeit mit Sicherheit einige Gedanken machen müssen wäre, wie man Neueinsteigern den Einstand im Forum erleichtern könnte. Von einigen Leuten kann man hören, dass Kongulas PRANKE zwar spitze und umfangreich ist, allerdings zu umfangreich. Das Forum und dessen Postings machen eher den Eindruck, dass eine grosse Familie dahintersteckt, die ungern gestört wird...
Ich persönlich wäre von einem Leserbriefsektor nicht ganz abgeneigt, der bereits auf den ersten Blick ins Auge fällt und wo die Leute auch dann reinschreiben können, wenn sie noch nicht angemeldet sind.

Genau meine Rede. Wenn schon nicht im Heft, dann zumindestens hier im Forum.
Liebe Leser, wir Autoren beissen nicht, aber wir legen Wert auf euer Feedback. Wir schreiben in erster Linie für euch und nicht für uns.

Ansonsten wäre eine separate Leserbriefseite in PRANKE leider unspektakulär. Selbst die Teilnehmer der letzten Umfrageaktion waren etwas "wortkarg". Andererseits bestätigt dies doch auch auf eindrucksvolle Weise unser Heft. Wenn's nämlich was zu meckern gäbe, würden's die Leute auch tun!

Ja, da hätte ich was. Da ich ja im Bereich Filmliteratur noch einiges nachzuholen habe, würde ich mich über ausführlichere Besprechungen einzelner empfehlenswerter Werke freuen.

Das hat mich Mr. C auch schon einmal gebeten. Ist bei der Menge an Büchern die ich bespreche aber nur teilweise machbar. Ich habe mich entschieden so viel wie möglich unterzubringen, aber wichtige Bücher wie "Kino wider die Tabus" werden natürlich weiterhin ausführlicher besprochen. Mein Stil orientiert sich etwas an Autoren wie Michael Weldon (Psychotronic) oder Frank Trebbin (Die Angst sitzt neben Dir). Kurz und bündig und trotzdem so informativ wie möglich. So wird es auch weiter bleiben. Ich passe meinen Stil den Publikationen und den jeweiligen Serien die ich dafür konzipiert habe an (und das seit mittlerweile 25 Jahren). Wie Du im laufe der Pranke-Geschichte gemerkt hast, suche ich mir immer neue Herausforderungen. Zuerst war die Pranke ein beinahe lupenreines Monsterfanzine. Da habe ich mir die Serie "Monster Invasion" erdacht. Nachdem das Bandspektrum von Pranke immer umfangreicher wurde, konnte ich nach und nach Interviews zur Verfügung stellen und auch härtere Filme besprechen. Die "Monströse Literatur" war eine völlig neue Aufgabe für mich und begeistert mich noch immer. Sonderwünsche zu bestimmten Themen werden nach wie vor gerne entgegen genommen. Seit kurzem darf ich ja auch eine Bildgalerie machen. Ich bin selber gespannt was Ralf und ich uns noch einfallen lassen.

Eine Review der "Planet der Vampire"-DVD ist allerdings Pflicht. Und ausserdem bist Du der Meister in Sachen G-Fun-Facts. Die Beiträge kannst Du ja während der Zugfahrt am Samstag machen...

Wie gesagt: Ich weiß nicht ob ich das packe - Schreibblockade heißt ja schließlich, dass man irgendwie nichts zuwege bringt... Kommt bei mir halt manchmal vor und leider wirds dann auch mit noch so viel gutem Willen meist nichts... ::)

Sieh die "Planet der Vampire"-DVD-Review einfach als kleines Warming Up für das Buchprojekt an. Du liebst doch diesen Film. Und jetzt - bei einem solch grandiosen Release auf Silberscheibe - müsste der Text doch eigentlich auf dem Monitor so runterlaufen wie heisse Butter auf dem Blechdach.

Oder muss ich etwa wieder drohen... ?  ;D

Dann kommt die Rubrik Monster-Asyl noch dieses Wochenende dran, obwohl ich nach Bildern von "Creature With The Atom Brain" noch intensiver suchen muss. Zu diesem Film findet man wirklich schwierig brauchbares Bildmaterial...  :-/

Bis Ende Juli sollte mit der Ablieferung der Dateien noch Zeit sein. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist dann allerdings auch definitiv Ende und ich muss alles haben.

Ein grobes Inhaltsverzeichnis exisitiert bereits. Ich werde Euch jetzt aber nicht verraten, über was Ihr Euch alles freuen könnt.
